..just been buried in work.
Got back from the wonderfulawsomebeautifulterrific trip to Vancouver HLWW con (so much fun, so many nice people *waves to* [livejournal.com profile] amberleewriter, [livejournal.com profile] keerawa, [livejournal.com profile] mackiedockie, [livejournal.com profile] adabsolutely, [livejournal.com profile] robi_travels, [livejournal.com profile] pat_t, [livejournal.com profile] slcross and her friend, Tres, Debbie, Shomeret...it was so great to meet you all) and... I'll put a link to some fuzzy pics I took up in a f-locked post, but frankly, people with farfar better skills have taken and posted lots of great photos already. Well, in short, I've discovered (or gotten confirmation for) the following facts: that Vancouver is absolutely on my top of the list of 'places I want to live in'; F. Braun McAsh is an amazing entertaining walking encyclopedia ; Liz Gracen is utterly adorable and I'm forever going to wear the black mark of the PW fan who didn't look at her in the elevator, yet I can console myself with the knowledge that my hair has her seal of approval *g*; PW and AP play off each other like always; Jim Byrnes' musical genius cannot adequately be worshipped in mere words; [livejournal.com profile] keerawa is the best one to sit next to during any Q&A; [livejournal.com profile] amberleewriter is totally the no.1 *g* for going places, sightseeing and having breakfast and talks with; the Highlander fandom is really a damn fun place and I am so glad I decided to go to the HLWW8.
So, back - and slam!dunk! back into the hamster wheel of life. For two weeks I was the busiest unemployed gal around. I mean, I'm not officially on the new job yet, but I had several translation-and-whatnot stuff to do for various firms, and when that was finished (sort of), the clinic (that WILL be opened for business on Monday) started occupying my free time...
Did some setting up of the management software for the clinic...also, um, put some lolcat macros here and there...went to the dentist and had a root tip surgery (I expect I'll look like a lopsided hamster tomorrow)...and that means that I now have a bit of time to kick back and waste time on teh intrawebs. And be very very happy to see some signs of life from [livejournal.com profile] sparklebutch and [livejournal.com profile] ceruleancat*hugs and smooches the intrepid movers between the continents*.
So, to make up for my lengthy absence, I'll give links to fun and TMI:
first, it doesn't need to be badfic to make you sporfle - Excitement leaped like a trout in the public trousers.. And second, via [livejournal.com profile] ladycat777, this pretty pussy poll (no, it has nothing to do with cats. Why do you ask?).
In other news, I've joined [livejournal.com profile] wrisomifu. It called to me *cough* - "Write Something, You Sick Fuck!" it thundered in a voice of doom. We'll se if my brain really heard...
And finally, happy Halloween/Samhain/Souls' Time/wet dark autumn/end of October-beginning of November/NaNoWriMo/whatever of your choice to everybody!!!

Happy Halloween and glad to see you home safely. Liz thought you were very cute. And don't feel bad. You didn't look at Liz. I didn't notice Adrian and I walked in and stood right in front of him.

The con was a wonderful experience. I'll cherish it forever.

We move to VC and there'll be a bed for you whenever you like. (You have one here in Indy, not that I can figure out why anyone'd want to visit aside from going to the race.) I was going through some pics from the bridge and showed my husband. He said, "Yeah, I can see why the people at the hotel asked if you were sisters. That's just kind of spooky."

Hehe.

Take care, try not to work too hard, and I hope I'll get to chat with you at some point.

*huge hugs*
