Yay!

I have four new windows *squeeee*! Admittedly, my home looks a bit like minor disaster area, and will continue in this vein for the immediate future - the wall surrounding the windows is, um, well, not repaired. I've got to organize repairing the shower next - I think it's leaking - and maybe I'll go with a small sitting bath instead. I have to get the floor in the kitchen corner and in front of the door redone (the ceramic plates have cracked). I have plans for a new sink and working surface, and a washing machine, and a new fridge, also I need to replace the iron plate on top of the wood stove. The kitchen needs new wallpaper (I have enough of the living-cum-sleeping-room wallpaper left to redo it with the same one). If I can swing it financially, I'm planning to get a small cozy toilet installed in the flat (the house has a common toilet in the hallway on both floors, but I want my own). And I sure hope extending the mortgage to get all this was worth it.
Changing the windows generates a terrible amount of dirt and dust. I've finished cleaning and vacuuming and carrying old frames out and now my back is not happy with me. So though the floors really should be washed, too, I'll leave it to the next week and take a ketoprofen.
And tomorrow morning I shall have to drive up to the capital, early in the morning - there's that 2-day CE on vet dentistry coming up.

ETA: Amusingly enough, LJ spell check does not recognise ketoprofen and offers instead that I use either waterproofing, depriving or depraving. *snerk*
