Stream of conciousness ramblings

Weather's beautiful, and everything's bloody blooming. And the nightingales are yammering away. Only the heat is indecent.I'm firmly convinced +33 Celsius is NOT a northern climate. Turn the heater DOWN, please. I was wearing a dress and summer shoes, ergo, I have blisters now. On feet. Ow.
Also. Methos collects seasons. Especially since the travel became so darn easy. Different seasons in different places.(The idea just came to me, out of the blue. Not sure if it ever becomes anything besides the idea snippet.)
Note to self: driving a company car in summer on a good road with Queen's Greatest Hits blasting on full volume makes one inclined to, um, exceed the speed limit. And while nobody except the combined harvesters keep to the speed limit, 40 kmph over a limit might be excessive. Better keep it down to +10-20.
I suspect that if I was a vidder I'd vid (possibly horribly) Methos-Duncan-Kronos and the whole CAH/Rev mess to Too Much Love Will Kill You. Corny, I know. But I'm not ashamed. You're all just in luck I'm not able to vid *grins*.
I needed a new laptop bag, so I went shopping. I think I need to add electronics/computer shops on the 'avoid if at all possible, especially if have extra finances' list, right by the bookstores, because now I also have:
a new cordless keyboard/mouse (well, I had one for the laptop, so I needed another for the desktop, see?)
an alarm radio/cd thingy (it has cd; also, it has much bigger numbers and better reception than my previous one. And alarm clocks either make my heart jump out of the ribcage, or to avoid that reaction, make me wake nervously half an hour before the time.)
A new telephone (well, it was one of those cordless types. So's I can go and see what havoc cats are freaking in the kitchen while my mom yammers on.)
Well, they're all very necessary things, right? I really don't see why
dresta11 had to insinuate that it might have been a gratuitous spending of money.
And anyway, I'm able to come out of a bookstore without buying anything. I just sit there for hours and read. I'm definitely able to come out of an electronics shop without buying stuff. *grins* Especially if I don't have any spare money.
I'll have two frantic days ahead of me doing client education presentations. If I'm lucky, the car guy will come tomorrow to look at my old car, to make it driveable again. I really don't like to be 100% dependent on a company car I share.
The window men come on Friday (do you notice the relative theoretical temporary abundance of men in my life? Workmen, that is. Probably, the best variety of men there is.). I might have four new shiny windows by Friday night. And three freaked out cats, probably.
Then I either have to take the dog to a friend or take him with me and drive up to the capital, for a continuing education lecture on small animal dentistry. Yummy, though it necessitates staying at parents'. Well, there goes the weekend. And then it'll be Monday again. Eeeek.

Date: 2007-05-30 04:09 pm (UTC)At around the same time I also thought of Shakespeare's Sisters' "You're History". I dunno, the lyrics? Maybe it's just me.
