That twelve characters' meme..
Dec. 18th, 2006 02:23 am![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
...that I've been avoiding so far. Gacked from evil enabler
sparklebutch.
BEFORE CLICKING THE CUT, pick 12 characters and assign them numbers 1 through 12. Write it down. Then answer the questions.
1. Boromir
2. Willow
3. Duncan MacLeod
4. Dean Winchester
5. Amanda Darieux
6. Han Solo
7. Nanny Ogg
8. Methos
9. Darth Vader
10. Sam Winchester
11. Rupert Giles
12. Rincewind
Which would make a better college professor, 6 or 11? What subjects would they teach?
Umm, Han Solo and Rupert Giles? Unless it’s a space flight college, I’d say no contest *grins*. Giles would teach history and Han could come over to do one of those "meet someone cute and famous" days.
On the (important)side note:
sparklebutch: Han/Mal is so a must
cali: oooooooohhhhhh
cali: also guh
cali: and ded.of hotness.
sparklebutch: my first two minutes of Firefly, I was saying "hey, someone here liked Han Solo. and the bar scenes."
sparklebutch: i love when joss is fanboying
cali: mmmm
Do you think 4 is hot? How hot?
Dean Winchester? Dude. I mean, ooh. Hot. Smoking hot. Almost as hot as Methos.
12 sends 8 on a mission. What is it, and does it succeed?
Rincewind sends Methos on a mission *laughs*. The way I see it, it has something to do with getting infinite amounts of free beer and food, not the kinds Dibbler dabbles in, and the best places in the Broken Drum, to see the evening’s brawl from a safe distance. Or alternatively, it’s a magic book Rincewind has ‘misplaced’ and needs to get back in a hurry. Before the Librarian finds out. And Methos, because he certainly stands to gain considerably from either scenario (mooching, or then the book might be threatening his existence if falling into wrong hands), will come admirably through in self serving glory.
Or, as it was outlined in chat:
cali: but three…Rincewind sending Methos on a mission?
cali: there's probably free beer involved
cali: infinite supply of free beer in Broken Drum, with invisibility to protect from brawls
sparklebutch: woohoo
sparklebutch: somehow, I can completely see that crossover
sparklebutch: makes perfect sense
sparklebutch: you know, under certain definitions of "sense"
cali: yeah. Rincewind/Methos is an OTP
cali: it's a marriage made in heaven
cali: or somewhere
cali: *coff*
sparklebutch: somewhere, precisely.
What is or would be 9's favourite book?
Darth Vader’s favourite book? How to Win Friends and Influence People. *hides* Sorry, couldn’t resist*G*.
Would it make more sense for 2 to swear fealty to 6, or the other way around?
Definitely Han Solo to Willow. After all, he has the impulses to be loyal to smart, pretty female witches.
For some reason, 5 is looking for a roommate. Should 5 share a studio apartment with 9 or with 10?
Amanda looking for a roommate? She’d go for Sam Winchester any day, over Darth Vader... though, I’m not sure if it’d be such an easy choice between Anakin and Sam. And anyways, they’re both pretty bad choice as roommates. Poor Amanda. Fortunately she’s a resourceful girl. Plus, there’s a chance for some hot sex.
7, 2 and 12 have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss?
Willow, Nanny Ogg and Rincewind? Wheee!
Broken Drum, and it might start out as the perfectly businesslike discussion of magic, but I bet that hedgehogs enter it quite soon.
3 challenges 10 to a duel. What happens?
Duncan MacLeod discovers Sam Winchester a)also has a personal watchdog b)isn’t immortal c) isn’t evil d)is a boy scout too e)it was all a honest mistake (roughly in this order, while healing from the bullets Dean pumped into him). They drop the misguided challenge thing and go have dinner together earnestly debating the good of the universe, while Dean and Methos snark at each other and then sneak off to compare weapons and do some semi-secret snogging to make the boy scouts mildly jealous.
If 1 stole 8's most precious possession, how would 8 get it back?
Boromir stealing Methos’ preciousss??? Umm. *scrubs brain from Methos as Gollum; also Methos as Sauron – yess, master, I live to serve you, yes, oh yes.* OK. How does ‘fight dirty’ sound? Plausible, methinks. Also, effective.
Suggest a title for a story in which 7 and 12 both attain what they most desire.
"But a Hedgehog Can Never Be Buggered At All".
What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4 and 1 to work together?
That’s easy. Hey, guys? Someone’s hurting your brother. Brothers, that is. *grins*
If 7 visited you for the weekend, how would you get along?
Ooh, I’d love a visit from Nanny Ogg! We’d gossip and drink tea and make rude jokes and sing the songs, and she’d drink me under the table. But she’d not succeed in fixing me up with one of her spawn.
If you could command 3 to perform any one task or service for you, what would it be?
Me? Command Duncan? It’d be either "Pretty please, invite me to dinner with Amanda and Joe and Methos" or alternatively, "Please have hot sex in my dreams more often than angst, thank you very much."
Does anyone on your friends list write or draw 11?
Giles? Sure. Just start with the evil overlord of pimping
sparklebutch...
If 2 had to choose sides between 4 and 5, which would it be?
Rincewind choose sides between Dean and Amanda?? Poor Rincewind. He’d pick the side that had an opening to a nice, long open stretch..and run.
What might 10 shout while charging into battle?
"Dean, get off your arse and help!"
If you chose a song to represent 8, which song would you choose?
"I Will Survive"... *cofff* Sorry.
More seriously, though, It's the "Sleeping Sun", by Nightwish. Yes, it's probably because of the unfinished fic on my conscience.
1, 6 and 12 are having dim sum at a Chinese restaurant. There is only one scallion pancake left, and they all reach for it at the same time. Who gets to eat it?
Rincewind is sneaky, but survival-oriented and shy. Boromir is strong, but chivalrous. Han is sneaky and has no conscience. If Han wants it, my bets are on him. If he’s not hungry, Rincewind gets it.
What might be a good pick-up line for 2 to use on 10?
Willow and Sam Winchester would make such a sweet, geeky, demon-ass-kicking pair! Pick-up line? "I've always found Malleus Maleficarum a terribly dry read, what about you?"
What would 5 most likely be arrested for?
Amanda? Theft, canonically. Me, I think more likely for illegal parking. She’s much too good at thieving.
What is 6's secret?
I don’t think anyone knows. He just is damn lucky.
If 11 and 9 were racing to a destination, who would get there first?
Giles vs Darth Vader?? Huh. Darth Vader would get there first, then Giles would show up, sic a Slayer on him and exorcise the poor sod for a good measure. Or something.
3 and 7 tell conflicting versions of events. Which is more reliable?
Duncan or Nanny Ogg? Well, that’d depend entirely on who was the audience. Nanny Ogg wins on lying credibly, but in case she doesn’t want to confuzzle the issue, I’d trust her slant on the situation more. She’s very observant.
"1 and 9 reluctantly team up to save the world from the threat posed by 4's sinister secret organization. 11 volunteers to help them, but it is later discovered that 11 is actually a spy for 4. Meanwhile, 4 has kidnapped 12 in an attempt to force their surrender. Following the wise advice of 5, they seek out 3, who gives them what they need to complete their quest." What title would you give this fic? Name three people on your friends list who might read it. Name one person who should write it.
Boromir and Darth Vader would be a reluctant team, though they have a lot in common. Dean Winchester’s sinister plan? Hmm, makes me wonder who exactly the yellow-eyed demon calls "the Winchester boy". And Giles as a spy for Dean? That sounds like a league of demon hunters. And makes me think maybe Darth and Boromir are a bit… misinformed. I have no idea why they should care a whit about Rincewind held hostage, though. Amanda sending Boromir and Darth Vader to Duncan for help?? That clinches it.Heroes in quest for a redemptionBoy scouts to the rescue... ooops, sorry, wrong address. The title? "A Comedy Of Errors", a crackfic. Somebody should write it. I bet it’d turn out that Ethan Rayne was behind it all and it was just an April Fool’s joke on Giles.
If you had to walk home through a bad neighbourhood late at night, would you feel safer in the company of 7 or 8?
Nanny Ogg or Methos as a chaperone? I’d have to go with Nanny Ogg, unless Methos has a vested interest in my survival or nothing worse than ordinary thugs without firearms show up.
You know, that was tremendous fun!
