There's a lot to be content about. *purrs* It's always nice to get paid for a job, even better when one can spend the money on something nice. Walked to town today - longest walk since the back surgery - felt good. (I hope the back agrees with me tomorrow, too*g*). Bought a Pratchett Discworld book I haven't read yet (very nice) and a cordless keyboard&mouse (ooh, joy of no more fretting about assorted furries getting tangled in wires). Is weird how one's priorities shift - I had the cordless keyboard on to-buy list, but one and a half months at home unable to sit down and yelling at cats and the dog to pretty goddamn please keep away from the assorted cords (see, when one cannot sit, the keyboard ON the laptop is not very comfy to use) and dragging the damn bunch with me every time I moved anywhere made me realize that I WANT IT NOW. I'm enjoying it presently. A LOT.

Then there's the fact that I am apparently able to stay up for longer than 6 hours at a stretch and actually watch stuff. The result is lots of love.

I am enormously grateful for having the superpowers of pimpage as friends (bows to [livejournal.com profile] sparklebutch - you were right about Firefly, you're right about Buffy), because I am watching Buffy now. More specifically, I've finished season 1 and season 2 is downloading (hurry up, pleease). Season 1 was what I've seen a long time ago, so it's a mixture of little nostalgia, happy re-recognition of Giles-love and Willow-love, surprise over not being annoyed at Buffy and Xander any more, finding facets I never saw before, somehow discovering that stuff that bothered me before isn't such a big deal any more and squeeing over star moments. And I loved the Pack ep, mmmmm. And they all say it gets better and better in next seasons, yummy! So that's definitely a warm, welcoming-into-the-dark love affair brewing. There's that library..and the librarian...*zones out*...

Erm...OK. Where were we?

Ooh, there's Supernatural, which I'd never found if it wasn't for the commotion in my flist (it's not on here). I dl'd it last year when about half of the season was past, watched first with an eye for the pretty and some idea of 'hmmmm, there's potential' and then there was the Skin...and whoom. Love. Love, I say. I'll leave deep meta and talk and writing to people who know how to do it, like [livejournal.com profile] maygra and [livejournal.com profile] killabeez and several others and just, you know, squeee and love madly-truly-deeply, and. you know. flail. and LOVE. (And I tried to pimp it to [livejournal.com profile] dresta11, but the burning people on the ceilings squicked her off before she could really watch. Which makes me a bit sad.)

[livejournal.com profile] dresta11 is slowly but inexorably sucking me into NCIS. NCIS is running on Finnish TV (season 1) and there are eps burnt on discs thanks to her. It's quite likely that this show will get to live in a little sunny-side chamber in my heart and make me glad. See, I kinda got Gibbs-slapped (umm, thanks again, [livejournal.com profile] dresta11). And I guess it may turn out to be an incurable condition.

Then there's House MD reruns on TV (House and Wilson are soo married, and I'm almost afraid to watch the next seasons what with it all getting nastier and nastier, but then, somehow, the fact that the 1st season IS here makes it better. somehow.), and new eps to dl (and a lot that I have and wanna watch), and Grey's Anatomy reruns, and Rome 1st season (I think I like that one, too)...

And, of course, there always was, is and will be Highlander *loves*. I gotta make some time for rewatching all the eps in order, too.

Of course, there's the weekly Peter Wingfield fix now, in Holby City (thank you to [livejournal.com profile] evildrem and all the other wonderful shiny people). I reserve my judgement about the whole thing as a show or soap, because I haven't seen much except the PW eps. But Dan Clifford looks like an interesting character, and a medical soap is in no way a bad thing to watch for a change, I guess...But, most important, it's got PW. *dances*

I've decided my flist knows what the world is about, so I'm also slowly dl-ing SG-1 to rewatch and Stargate Atlantis to see what the squee is about. I also have the last season of dr Who and have been saving up Torchwood for watching. Some day. Soon. When I get the time. Oh, so many shows, so little time. Fortunately there's no lack of love at least *g*.

Also, today, there was a good movie by the title Stage Beauty. I'd say it was well worth watching.

Ooh, the world has been good to me today. Hope it keeps up this way *g*.

I watch/ed all of the above shows, except NCIS (watched it the first two seasons, but not since) My current fannish obsession is House and Grey's. Grey's to the point I write freakin' fic. Argh! I'm really enjoying HC a lot, and it's so great to see PW every week!!

I've been watching NCIS since the beginning and it just gets better! Season 4 is on now and it's really hit it's stride. Gibbs is just guh! And I adore Abby. The whole cast makes it work. So much fun there. :)
