I tried the posting thing yesterday, and for some reason it didn't work. Did work now, though. It may have some potential applications - the posting through chat thing, I mean, but really so far it's just another new toy *g*.
The novelty doesn't appeal, except for a few people from my flist showing up whom I haven't seen on AIM. I like it because the interface through Meebo and Pandion are much cleaner and nicer than other AIM clients I've used.
Ermm, not going more nuts than I am already... see lj talk. It's a new feature that allows lj users chat and post entries through Jabber IM system. One can get Jabber for example on Trillian Pro, orPandion, or without any software download if you go to meebo.com website
Obviously it's not something you'd want to do all the time -- posting anything complicated or long this way would be more than annoying. But I can see it might be useful sometimes, in tandem with LJtalk. I can see chatting with someone and both being stumped on a point of canon or something and saying, "I know, let's talk to the goat," and post a quickie question to the flist. That sort of thing.
Yes, nice that it works. A quick post is what I imagine it'd be good for, yes. Interesting to see whether there is going to be anything else in the future.

Anyway, glad it worked!
