HL holiday shortcuts fic off to beta, wheeee! Am resolutely not tinkering or looking at it and wondering whether it is any good at all, because that way lies madness. Well, at least not until I get it back:)
Have been busy, won't bore you with details, except to say that I'm back in a PhD program (uh, which very likely means *more busy soon* and also, *scary*) and I.WILL.FINISH. this time. I shall conquer. Hear me roar. Or possibly flail. Anyways, as I now have, like, actual workgroup to be a part of, and supervisor, and financing, and, like, plans and data and stuff, well, it's better than before, when I kind of had none of that. *squints at an article she's writing, resolutely ignores for the moment.* Focus on the positive, focus on the positive.
It seems there has been snow in above-the-normal limit for many places - well, here they decided it's officially a snowstorm and called it Monika. In short, there's a lot of snow, and more coming. Some roads were really impassable for a short while, some people are still waiting for the electricity to come back and there were some accidents, but all in all, snow really does not disrupt the life here too much. People are rather used to it, even though the winter always comes unexpectedly. Some years, several times:)
Someone has made a clipshow from our little tussle with Monika the snowstorm, so, here you go:
And now, I'll go and have some more alcohol-free glögg.
