Am presently sitting in a hotel lobby in Copenhagen and enjoying a beer. The reason of being here - a NOVA PhD course (on epidemiological and clinical study design). Mmmm, I'd forgotten (again) how much one can enjoy these kinds of things ('things' being defined as having nothing else to do but learn something nice, and playing around and getting the grasp of such wonderful things like the meaning behind statistics...*g*). Not to mention that brain when sufficiently rested wants to play around (the epidemiology and design theory apparently not being enough) and keeps up a pretty constant stream of MethosMuse-patter as a sideline/comment during the lectures...hopefully it'll last even when I'll get home. Warmer here, too. Feeling a nagging, secret hope that perhaps, just perhaps, I'll get something moving on the PhD front at last. And also, judging by the frantic wailing from the Dean's secretary back home, it was a very wise decision to leave the academia for some less stressful playground for a while.
The lecturers so far have been just marvelous. Knowledgeable, passionate about their subjects, and really the type that can make every single person in the class to understand the concepts. Not to mention that one of them taught us two Scottish folk dances last evening - a lot of fun was had by all, trying to prance around energetically in weird patterns and counting steps out loud *ggg*.
The only little fly in the ointment is the fact that the Danish cuisine relies rather heavily (read:almost exclusively) on elaborate sandwitches. I think they substitute breastfeeding with sandwitches, too. I'm going to avoid sandwitches like plague for a while when I get home, I guess*g*.
Contentment is such a nice feeling. Enjoying while it lasts, and indulging in meme-gackage. I'm back at school for two weeks, I can be a bit juvenile:)

Medicine and physical healing are your game,

You know, I sense a pattern here *gg*. Shy with women...well, that can apply too *g*. But Simon's got me beat at the mouth departement, definitely.

After you die...
Parallel Universe

After death, you will continue to exist as if nothing has ever happened. You will continue to be yourself, but because you are in a parallel universe, some things will be different. You may not have married the same person, you might live in a different spot, but you will be the same person underneath it all and you will continue your life unaware that you ever died.
