Signal boosting for both a handy 'enable to leave kudos on post' code and fandom migration meta.
Though I fervently hope Discord isn't going to become the main fandom hub for upcoming years - not that I mind chat, but at least with my current work and rl level I am never going to be able to keep up with it, nor does Discord lend itself easily to skimming the highlights when one has time, except in very quiet slow servers. I can barely keep up with our little fannish friendsgroup chat on Signal, and as much as I like the idea of getting know more like-minded fen, Discord is just not something my spoons will strtetch to rn. I guess Dw is going to be the main hub for me, with slowly dying Tumblr keeping it's slow fizzle on the background. AO3 I sincerely hope is going to live long and prosper. Pillowfort- we'll see. The networking/federated fandom stuff - who knows.

I think Discord may be a kind of reaction to Tumblr. On tumblr everything was public and everything was... sort of in the same big pot? You could find anyone's posts on anything with some searching. Discord is the opposite: it seems more fragmented (there really is no sitewide tag equivalent, afaik) and more private (even for the never-expiring invites to servers you kind of have to find them).

In that sense, Tumblr is/was something that one could scroll idly on a free moment without any need to actually engage, and DW you can come back to a post and talk even days and weeks later, which is a plus.
The ways to find people and content do vary from site to site, and probably the largest obstacle is if you come from one to another and don't know the way of this one to actually look around for content.
