I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your fic, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes office supplies."

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal.

I am a homecare nurse, and I love chocolate ice cream.

Well, then we're quite similar...as I have a profession that is approximately medical, and I do adore ice cream too..though my favourite is caramel. But I love chocolate, too *s*.

I'm proud (...and frequently mocked) owner of an inflatable Christmas tree *g*

funny that you're mentioning office supplies. I... erm, have this thing for staplers, especially the electric ones - in a strictly platonic way, of course! Used to drive my co-workers a bit crazy... ;-)

Hee, I am the proud owner of a fake! christmas tree, and also often called tasteless because of it.

Hmmm...inflatable Christmas tree rules in sense of not having to clean the needles...and I have this problem of calling the staplers by a name none of my co-workers are familiar with *g*.
Pizza is nice in all ways..but best if it has either mushrooms or bleu cheese or shrimps on it..or all of the above *s*.

I assisted in the birth of the four kittens of Maya, the feline currently residing muddily and happily in my lap. I massaged her. I petted her. I forced her to sit down after the first kitten came out, when she decided it's boring and painful and she doesn't wanna play anymore. I cut the cord on that first kitten, since she insisted on running away dragging him behind her. The next three, she already got the point.

Anything? Well, I love Good Omens too. And I'm not even ashamed to say that actaully I love Pratchett's Discworld stuff. And I intend to read more from Gaiman. And if I had to pick just one favourite book with me to take to solitary confinement, I would be soo in trouble, 'cause I have many many favourites..and the best favourites I don't really need to take with me so much, as I know them almost by heart in some cases.
In addition of being bookaholic, I may safely claim a multitude of other sins, like having ~~too~~ many self-indulging hobbies (that includes my job), being a coffee addict, a workaholic, a sharp-tongued dragonbitch, a horsegirl, a shameless lover of slash and all things Methos (and Duncan, and Amanda, and Kronos, and Joe, and *ggg*), a cat worshipper, a beer drinker, a bull terrier owner...and a bunch of other dysfunctional personalities.
There now..and don't say I did not warn you!

Wonderful, isn't it? The birthing stuff are my favourite emergencies, provided that I'm successful, of course *g*.

I've got a patchwork job made up of being a translator, advertising "agency" / copywriter, teacher and psychology student. and stuff. You wonder how one can fit all that into 7-day-weeks with 24-hour-days? So do I. *LOL*
Well, I'm in the process of reducing these functions. :-)

I like... boy, that's a long list. I like most kinds of music, I love books and everything that has to do with communication or helps me to understand another person. I adore chocolate and my husband. And... oops, time's up. ;-) Well, lots more.

Now a question in return: How would you describe your core - what is your life about, would you say?

LOL..that feels familiar...I do clinical veterinary work, teach a bit, struggle with a PhD, and yes, I do some translation work as a sideline *g*.
How would you describe your core - what is your life about, would you say?
Hmmmm...if I had to put it into a few words, I'd say it's about discovery and getting to know. Not only what or when, but also why and how and what if and just because *s*.
